Last November well HLH-GT-03 has successfully been drilled to an existing mining gallery for Mijnwater Energy BV. Spidron Weco BV proudly assisted Mijnwater in this project with well engineering and drilling management. We want to thank all service providers for their role in this beautiful project: Vito, Tacrom, Chemfor, Inco Drilling, Fangmann, Brandes, GeoService GmbH, Iteco, HP Well Screen, Trommelen Infra, LBP|Sight.
Last February Spidron Weco existed five years! To celebrate this anniversary, we went on a trip to Scheveningen and Den Haag. We had a wonderful lunch at the beach, with our feet in the sand, enjoying the sun!
Spidron Weco BV is a proud sponsor of the TU Delft Geothermal MSc Thesis Award 2021, together with #HPWellScreen #TalentvoorTransitie #Crux.

For a Dutch Municipality Spidron Weco has investigated the potential use of geothermal energy in various residential areas in their municipality. During this study the possible link between heat demand and subsurface potential was investigated. Spidron Weco has coordinated and guided the inquiry and the (external) geological investigation. We have sketched conceptual well designs and surface infrastructure. The study provides useful data for the municipality where geothermal heat is a viable option for district heating.
On behalf of Mijnwater Energy BV we recently performed the project management and supervision of the replacement of a downhole pump of one of their wells. This operation was executed very successfully, also thanks to the combined effort of Mijnwater and her suppliers.
Beginning of July, we finally had our postponed New Year's Team party ๐. With all team members (Rein Bootsma, Robert te Gussinklo Ohmann, Mohammed Abdelgadir, Marieke Bootsma, Henk Boezeman, Tom Duit and Vincent Vroege), their partners and children, we had a good time during our pizza making workshop. The boys not only look good in their coveralls, they also look pretty in aprons. Jacks-of-all-trades๐๐ป!
For ECW Geomanagement B.V. we recently managed and engineered a workover on a geothermal producer in Middenmeer. In the existing well, a coated inner string was installed using a hydraulic workover unit. This work was successfully done despite challenging Corona restrictions. With thanks to good teamwork from ECW Geomanagement, Well Gear, Baker Hughes, NOV Completion Solutions, DEW Wartungs- und Reparatur, Ruma Rubbers, Hunting, Odfjell, Baker Hughes, Mammoet, Stralingsupport, Deepdrill, Gebr. Alsumgeest, Cleanstream, and others.
